The College was founded on the dreams and aspirations of Mr. Samuel Segbefia, who with the backing of Ghana Evangelism Support (GES) – a none governmental organization, cherishes education with the sole objective of developing a new generation of respectable academicians and professionals with a high sense of integrated and a sound business and management background, charged to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Ghana and Africa.
Trans Africa College (TAC) was incorporated under the Ghanaian Company Act of 1963 (Act 179) in November, 2003. The College is fully recognized by the Ministry of Education and accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana to run an Associate Degree / Diploma Certification programmes in collaboration with The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) UK.
The institution is also granted recognition by the National Board for Professional and currently The University of Education Winneba (UEW) to run Bachelor degrees and Higher Education Diploma and Certificate courses.
Our ambition is to become the centre of Africa progress where individuals and organisations are empowered with leadership and creative skills built on an amazing learning environment.
We excel in education, research and innovation whilst building strong international relationships and demonstrating our commitment to provide a serene, conducive learning environment in our ultra –modern beach front campus the very first in Ghana located in the Oil city of Takoradi. With satellite campuses; Business School located at Accra central and School of Journalism & Business Communication at circle near Mr. Biggs.

Ghana Evangelism Support (GES) – a none governmental organization which was founded on the dreams and aspirations of Mr. Samuel Segbefia with the objective of developing a new generation of respectable academicians and professionals to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Ghana and Africa, gave birth to Trans Africa College in 2003. The College is accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB), affiliated to The University of Education Winneba and The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) UK. Currently, there are Three (3) main faculties running ten (16) programmes.
